Azteca Finishing Inc. is a unique contractor located in Grand Rapids,
Michigan who specializes in highly artistic texture and trim work.
Cube 216 developed a strong identity for the company, that remained
consistent from print to the Web. We produced a logo identity, business
cards, promotional postcards, letterhead and envelope design, a
modified logo for their vehicles, and a Website.
One of the distinctive challenges was bridging the gap between old
world and new. The Azteca Finishing look had to merge different
sensibilities in a new, tasteful way.
Cube molded the vibrant Aztecan imagery into a modern day form that
played with the concept of fine art. Combining the two, powered
an identity that had the heat of the old world with the elegance
of modern art and design.
Cube started with a powerful logo then built an identity around
that, using the colors of stone mixed with a strong forest green.
The Aztecan style of sculpture provided the basis for the print
design and was further reinforced in the Website. Our strong belief
in a holistic approach to design helped forge a strong brand across
multiple mediums, and lead to a successful campaign. The client
was pleased with the final results.
